MALAYSIAN student Janice Tan Yin Ern lost in the China reality show Sing! but her mentor Mandopop king Jay Chou has invited her to perform at his concert in Kuala Lumpur in January, reported major Chinese dailies.
Being the youngest contestant, the 16-year-old Penangite competed with three other contestants, who are also from Chou’s team, in the latest episode of the show, which was aired recently.
The superstar will be performing at his worldwide The Invincible 2 Jay Chou Concert Tour 2018 on Jan 27, Sin Chew Daily reported.
Janice said she did not feel disappointed for failing to reach the final.
She said she was satisfied being able to go so far in the show.
Singaporean jazz singer Joanna Dong emerged as the winner in Chou’s team. Dong will represent Chou’s team in the final at the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing on Oct 8.

SJK (C) Yu Jern headmaster Zheng Xue Wu said the incident happened about two weeks ago but the school was only informed on Sept 28.
According to the pupil, she was waiting for her parents in the school when a stranger in a car approached her.
The pupil claimed the stranger told her to get into the car as her mother was not free to pick her up.
Luckily, she did not take the bait and security guards at the school chased the stranger away.
