Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo marry in Korea’s showbiz wedding of the year (VIDEO)
SEOUL, Nov 1 — Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo are married.
The popular K-drama couple who met when they starred together in last year’s hit Descendants of the Sun exchanged wedding vows in front of close family and friends in a private ceremony at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul yesterday.
It was reported by various entertainment outlets that Park Bo-gum played the piano, while Ock Joo-hyun (formerly of K-pop group Fin.K.L.) sang the nuptial theme.
Meanwhile, Running Man star Lee Kwang-soo and actor Yoo Ah-in read letters to the pair affectionately known as the Song-Song couple by fans.
The 32-year-old groom and his 35-year-old bride were both dressed in made-to-measure Dior.
Naturally, the guest list was filled with famous names from the world of South Korean entertainment and beyond.
They are said to have included Cha Tae-hyun, Park Bo-young, So Ji-sub, Kim Jong-kook, Yoo Jae-suk, Ji Suk-jin, Haha, Hong Kyung-min, Kim Hee-sun, Song Yoon-ah, Choi Ji-woo, Park Sol-mi, Moon So-ri, Park Hyung-sik, Kim Ji-won, Super Junior’s Donghae, 2PM’s Junho and SHINee’s Minho.
Chinese movie star Zhang Ziyi was also in attendance.
The Song-Song couple is reportedly heading to Europe for their honeymoon.
Although the occasion was meant to be a private affair, it didn’t stop social media platforms from being flooded with photos and videos taken by guests at the wedding.
