KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 — World champion Mohd Azizulhasni Awang and Muhammad Shah Firdaus Shahrom failed to qualify for the second round of the Sprint event at the Track Cycling World Cup 1 at the BGZ Velodrome in Pruszkow, Poland, today.
According to the Track Cycling World Cup I official website, Azizulhasni or better known as The Pocketrocketman ended in 32nd spot after clocking 10.195 to finish 0.546s behind Holland’s pace setter Harrie Lavreysen.
Muhammad Shah ended his race in 34th spot with a time of 10.234s.
Both riders had also failed to advance to the second round of the Keirin event, held yesterday since Azizulhasni did not complete the repechage because he was involved in an accident with Japan’s Kazunari Watanabe.
