Chairman of the State Communications, Multimedia and Special Duties Committee Ghazali Taib said this would be carried out free-of-charge by the experts and equipment of the Terengganu Islamic Religious Department (JaHEAT).

“We know that whenever there is a big flood, the mosques and study centres will be affected and there will be copies of the Quran which are damaged,” he told reporters after attending a disposal programme of cubes containing Quran ashes into the waters off Pulau Kapas here today.

“So we are willing to help in the disposal process, for free, (for the Penang government) , they only have to pay the transportation costs,” he said. — Bernama
