SHAH ALAM, Nov 12 — Today’s DAP re-election is akin to playing a football match in an “empty stadium”, DAP secretary general Lim Guan Eng said.
Lim today stressed again that DAP was complying, under protest, with the Registrar of Societies’ (RoS) orders for the party to re-elect its 2012 central executive committee (CEC).
“Yet many members cannot even attend today’s Special Congress as RoS restricted it to only delegates,” he said.
“No democracy, no participation, just like watching a football match being played in an empty stadium,” he added.
He also likened the re-election to science fiction movie Back to the Future, noting that the term of the 2012 CEC had already expired in 2015.
