PETALING JAYA: The Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone’s concert this weekend has been postponed.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone in Concert scheduled for July 15 & 16 has been postponed.
“We are committed to delivering the best quality performance and entertainment experience for the audience, and deeply regret the inconveniences caused by this postponement,’ ticketing agent TicketPro said in a statement on Saturday.
The statement was also posted on organiser CreonAsia’s Facebook event page on Saturday morning.
The concert was billed as a symphony orchestra showcase featuring music from the first film in the Harry Potter franchise. The live orchestra will perform, to picture, every note from the movie which will be displayed on a 40-foot high definition screen.
New dates for the show will be announced on Tuesday (July 25).
Ticket holders who wish to have their tickets refunded can contact TicketPro at 03-78807999 from Monday to Friday at 9.30am – 6pm, and Saturdays from 9.30am – 1pm.

The event was originally scheduled to be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Plenary Hall.
Netizens have expressed their dissatisfaction over the postponement, with some saying that they had taken leave to attend the show while others complained about the last-minute notice of the postponement, which was only announced on the concert day itself.
