KUALA LUMPUR: Professor Datuk Rohana Rozhan, Group Chief Executive Officer of Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd has been appointed as Adjunct Professor at the School of Creative Industry Management & Performing Arts in Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) to share her vast experience and knowledge in the creative industry with the students.

Professor Datuk Rohana Rozhan has today received a letter of appointment from Vice Chancellor of UUM Prof Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak in a ceremony witnessed  by over 40 personnel including deans and students of UUM, Astro’s Senior Management team, scholars and employees who are currently pursuing their post-graduate degrees at UUM.

In her speech, she commended UUM for investing in the School of Creative Industry Management and Performing Arts and expressed that Malaysia has the most creative talent and hence the best chance to be a significant force in ASEAN’s media industry.

“I am extremely humbled by the opportunity to serve as Adjunct Professor of UUM and we look forward to more win-win collaborations with UUM, especially in our industry and for Malaysians to be a pipeline for a digitally savvy and creative talent force, fit-for-purpose to compete and create value in the new world order.”

Vice Chancellor of UUM Prof Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak said, UUM recognised Professor Datuk Rohana Rozhan’s accomplishments in the industry, and we strongly feel that her vast experience is very much needed in the creative industry programmes and the university.

Professor Datuk Rohana’s two-year tenure as adjunct professor commenced from 1 October 2017 and will end on 30 September 2019.
