KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 5 — Federal Territories Deputy Minister Datuk Dr Loga Bala Mohan said project developers near the Federal Highway will be slapped with stop work order if they are found to be the cause of the flash floods on Oct 30.
A preliminary investigation found that the Duta-Ulu Kelang Expressway Phase 3 (DUKE 3) project and the failure of the Federal Highway concessionaires to maintain the drainage, were among the causes.
“We have advised both parties to take appropriate action such as maintaining drainage systems including upgrading drains around the construction area,” he told reporters at “Jom Bantu Rakyat’ programme of Titiwangsa parliamentary constituency, here today.
