LOS ANGELES, Nov 20 — Paul Rudd recently showed off his new Ant-Man costume for upcoming Ant-Man and The Wasp, and it sure looks promising.
Rudd revealed the new costume while taking part in HBO’s “A Night of Too Many Stars” benefit show where he answered questions from fans from the set of the new movie while wearing the costume.
Details have been scarce regarding the movie, but we know that the sequel takes place after the events of Captain America: Civil War. The new costume retains the same black/red colour scheme as its predecessor but it is a much cleaner super-suit.
“Not many people have seen the suit. They change them with every Marvel film, but it’s still kind of in keeping with the first one,” shared Rudd.
The movie will most likely go along this line: Having escaped The Raft with Steve Rogers’ help, Scott Lang (Rudd) will find himself under house arrest when it starts. There are no details on why he’s been sentenced to this kind of imprisonment but it doesn’t seem to bother Scott who appears to have left the world of superheroes behind and instead prefers to spend more time with his daughter, Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson).
Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) meanwhile are hard at work trying to bring Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) back to their world with the Quantum Realm. The father-daughter team keep their Pym Particles-shrunken lab on-the-go as they are said to be on the run throughout the movie. While they weren’t happy with Scott’s decision to join Captain America, Scott will eventually reunite with them.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled for release on July 6, 2018.
