KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 21 — Umno will exhibit the success and achievements of the government’s administration under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, as contained in the 13th General Election manifesto, at its general assembly next month.
Umno executive secretary Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said they would be displayed to the public in the form of photographs and visuals at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), where the assembly would be held from Dec 5-9.
“As the leading political party in the federal government administration, Umno will showcase every achievement of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) throughout the BN administration as well as policies implemented by the government.
“These achievements show that our promises made during the last general election have been successfully implemented, and one example is the MRT project,” he said during a visit to the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) here, today.
Also present were Bernama General Manager Datuk Zulkefli Salleh, Editor-in-Chief Datuk Zakaria Abd Wahab and senior officials of the news agency.
Ab Rauf said the preparations for the general assembly was going smoothly.
He said the assembly would also be attended by observers from 40 foreign political parties, including from Turkey and the Middle East countries.
He said a photography competition, to be opened to the public and media members, would also be held throughout the assembly.
The competition offers daily prize of RM300 and a chance to win the RM3,000 grand prize, he added.
“Photographers, as well as members of the public with telephone cameras, can participate in the competition by submitting interesting pictures taken during the general assembly to the contest committee that will be stationed at the PWTC foyer during the assembly period,” he said. — Bernama
