KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 — Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad must accept that Malaysia has moved on from when he was still prime minister, said Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor.
He also told the ex-PM turned opposition leader that the country’s current progress was due to the current administration’s policies.
“As a former prime minister, he (Dr Mahathir) must know that what Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is doing is the best for the country,” he was quoted as saying by the Star Online news portal.
“He should face the reality that times have changed since he was governing the country,” he added.
The Umno secretary-general said Dr Mahathir’s selection as Pakatan Harapan’s candidate for PM showed the pack lacked depth.
The pact announced Dr Mahathir’s selection last weekend during its second annual convention in Shah Alam.
