KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 — Defending champions Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) strengthened their grip in the Super League after a handsome 3-0 victory over PKNS FC at the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium, Larkin, last night.
It was the Southern Tigers fifth win in six matches and they now have collected 15 points.
Their goals were netted by Argentinian import Gonzalo Cabrera (13th, 49th) and Muhammad Safawi Rasid (66th).
On the other hand, Negeri Sembilan failed to capitalise on home ground advantage and had to settle for a 1-1 draw with Kelantan at Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi.
The hosts went ahead as early as the seventh minute when their Brazilian import Flavio Beck Junior found the back of the net but Nik Akif Syahiran Nik Mat saved The Red Warriors in the 90th minute.
In the Premier League , Felda United maintained their lead despite playing to a 1-1 draw against Sabah at the Likas Stadium, Kota Kinabalu.
Wan Zack Haikal Wan Nor put them ahead in the 9th minute but Puerto Rican Hector Omar Ramos Lebron’s penalty conversion on the 34th minute saved Sabah the blushes.
However, MIFA collected three valuable points when they hammered UiTM FC 4-0 at the Petaling Jaya Stadium.
